In general, longer lengths accentuate bust while shorter lengths accentuate the neckline.

4.    Matinee (20-25 inches)  

The matinee necklace generally falls to the top of one’s bust. Matinee looks best high necklines but is also suited for a variety of necklines. Matinee is common with both casual and business attire. Women with bigger busts look best with matinee. Matinee  

 Pearl necklace is an ideal choice for a chic professional look. The matinee length is also very well well-matched for formal wear gowns.  

5.    Opera (26-36 inches)  

The opera necklace presents many eye-catching options. It can be worn as a single strand or in multi-layered stylish choker. It can also be knotted above the bust line to create a stylish vintage look which is trendy for 2009 fashion. Opera is best suit for eveningwear.   As a single strand, it provides a refined look. 6.    Ropes & Lariats (45+ inches)

Lariats are another type of long-length necklace or backless dress.
