I know it's incredibly silly, but I just love to see my jewelry shine like a clear afternoon day. As you know, once silver is exposed to the air, it begins to oxidize. This is what causes it the silver to tarnish. Additionally, your beautiful and sparkling gems can become very clouded by oils on your hands and body. Unfortunately many of us turn to harsh chemical cleaners to keep our precious jewelry shinning and gemstone gleaming. There is an alternative to the harsh chemicals. Making your jewelry sparkle can be way similar and safer on the planet. Best of all, it cheaper than many store bought conventional jewelry cleaners.
Make your cleaner from the following household items:
A soft non-abrasive toothbrush
ΒΌ cup window cleaner; make sure it is non-ammonia.
1 tbsp of natural toothpaste.
Begin:
- For precious gemstone, use the toothbrush with the window cleaner to gently polish your gems.
- For silver jewelry, use the toothpaste and a damp cloth to clean the metal.
